The Montessori Large Bead Frame is a wooden frame with seven rows of beads representing the hierarchy of numbers from units to millions. It is used to teach children long multiplication and division of numbers up to 7 digits. The beads are color-coded according to their place value and are arranged in columns on the frame. For example, the number 1234567 would be represented by one green bead in the top row, two blue beads in the second row, three red beads in the third row, four green beads in the fourth row, five blue beads in the fifth row, six red beads in the sixth row, and seven green beads in the bottom row. The frame helps children visualize the mathematical operations and understand the concept of partial products and remainders.
